Contented Pig Rebuild
New Development of Flats on the former site of the Contented Pig

Added on 23 August 2016

The Contented Pig, a well known Public House, had been derelict since 2007 following many attempts to revive the old pub built in 1932.

In 2013, councillors gave permission to tear down the old building and build 11 new 1 and 2 bedroom flats. Demolition took place in July 2015 to make way for the new development starting in December of the same year.

We are very pleased to announce that after four weeks works, the works we carried out to the roof are now complete.

The Contented Pig has made way for the modern flats contracted to Vale Southern Ltd who contracted Southern Flat & Pitched Roofing Ltd to carry out the roof works.

The roof, covered in Natural Slate, includes some rather lovely Sarnafil Single Ply Detailing on the Pyramid Style Bays to create a really pleasing look.
